Family comes first. Until it kills you…
Rusty Caldwell is a lonely victim of tragedy. After losing his wife and kids to a drunk driver, he spends most nights towing drunks to keep them off the streets. His one-track existence takes a turn when he finds out his estranged sister Mandy has committed suicide.
After flying out to offer his support, Rusty learns there’s much more to the story. It turns out his sister had been cheating on her husband Chris with Travis Calloway, the rich CEO of the biggest company in town. Before Mandy died, she claimed that Travis fathered one of her children and demanded that he pay up…
While Rusty is trying to figure out the truth, Mandy's friend Laura offers to help look into Travis. Sparks start to fly between her and Rusty, and soon neither can deny the attraction. Before they can catch a break, they receive death threats for their efforts.
With Travis and Chris both looking guilty, Rusty better find out the truth before he or Laura are the next one to fall.
No Return is a compelling suspense dealing with themes of love, loss, and forgiveness. If you like gripping page-turners, twisted villains, and surprising twists and turns, then you’ll love Stacy Claflin’s latest chilling creation.
*This is a standalone spinoff from the USA Today bestselling Gone Trilogy. It can be read by itself.*

I was given this book as an ARC. I have read a lot of Stacy in the past, and she never fails to disappoint. She writes by allowing you to fall in love with each character through a well developed back story.Rusty is a tow truck driver who focuses his life on towing drunk people home. A way to make up for feeling that he failed his wife and sons when they died years previous in a car accident at the hands of a drunk driver. He learns his estranged sister Mandy dies of apparent suicide and flies right out to be with her husband and 2 kids. While Rusty is trying to help repair his niece and nephew's life from the heartache of losing their mom, and the stigma attached to suicide, when no one who knew her really believes it's a suicide, Rusty tries to figure out if it was Mandy's husband Chris, or the man about town Travis, in which everyone is afraid to cross. Stacy spins a story of who is who while throwing Rusty a romantic interest. Suspense/Mystery is not necessarily my genre (the stress, oi the stress) but her writing has extremely poignant moments, that it makes it so easy to flow through and read. I think one of my favorite moments is when Rusty is talking to his love interest, Laura (Mandy's best friend if there was one) and they are talking about capturing nature on film, and how it just doesn't look as beautiful on the camera as to the eye. "I think that is the way nature intended. We weren't meant to quite capture it with photos. It's not just how it looks, but the entire experience". It was lines like that that helped ease my stress of not knowing what exactly happened to Mandy and made me race through the book to figure out not only what happened to Mandy but if Rusty could move on from the pain of his past.

No Return edition by Stacy Claflin Romance eBooks Reviews
No Return is the first book I've read by Ms Claflin. It won't be the last. I loved Rusty, Laura, and the kids. It's been a long time since a book made me cry. Rusty was an especially believable character. Quirky Laura was lovable. Travis was written as a perfectly described spoiled, entitled, selfish wretch.
Am I the only reader who does not consider Mandy a ‘saint’ ?
It was a good book, despite many grammatical and editorial errors. I live in Florida, how many two story houses (much less three story houses ) ARE there here, anyway ?
She did it again! I can't believe how she can do this to me, again. Ms. Claflin, you're a genius. No Return was as great as Gone and Dean's List. Great!
Rusty experiences all of the human emotions we would ALL experience in the same situation. The character rings so true. Laura is a love. Travis was genuinely hateful. Hateful! He made my flesh crawl. Cheers to Rusty for beating Travis up. Thank you Ms. Claflin, again!
If I didn't have to put this book down, I would not have, but life gets in the way of compelling reads! While it's hard to juxtapose almost perfect next to murder, I adored the main characters in this book and sometimes forgot that there was a murder--so caught up in the dialogue, budding "clean" romance, family dynamics, and the everyman who is Rusty. Despite the skeletons in many closets, to me, Ms. Claflin celebrates second chances and the unconditional love of family. This is a light, at times heartwarming, read (at least to me) crime novel. The "but" for me was in the editing. There were too many sentences with missing words (one is too many). I wish I had highlighted them. It was notable, but, in the end, I enjoyed it too much to downgrade my rating.
This book a spinoff of the Gone Series. I really enjoyed that series. The character Rusty was in the Gone series. He owned his own towing company. His family was killed by a drink driver. So he made it his mission to not let people drive home drunk. But one day he saw a post that his sister committed suicide. He could believe so he went to visit her family. He could out there was more to the story than that. It was such a heart breaking loving story an forgiveness along the way. Another page turner. Well done to the author. Love your work.
The story line us so ficused. You never get lost or feel like you missed anything. Publication is perfect.
I loved how the fear. Terror. Panic. Lovevwasvall explained. The enplanation of corruption a child could read and understabd.
Rhis us a book i would let all ages read. Its benificial to all learning classes. I would submit these books to reachers and professors to use in materials borh in engkish. Writing. Criminal. Health. And mental health
A lot is taught and more research can bevdone to help a kot more children. Teens. And people. Even stopping black market baby sellingm hospital kidnapping.
Thwres too many doctors getting paid off to take multiply babies or claim the baby was a steal born. Drs....OBGYNS are paid lots of money from organized crime members. Nurses work with them and get paib just as well. And the birthing mothers are drugged and kept sedated. Lied to and treated very poorly. Research. Its all videoed and documents.
Cant wait to read more!!!
This is a stand alone spin off of the Gone series. In it we meet Rusty a very lonely guy that lost his family to a drunk driver. He has made it his life's mission to not let anyone leave the bar drunk and tows people home for free.
He's at the grocery store when he reads a very chilling headline...his estranged sister Mandy has committed suicide. Throughout the book he tries to find Mandy's killer. He is convinced she wouldn't have taken her own life. The husband has a wicked temper and is being questioned daily by the police. Then Rusty finds something that gives the richest most influential guy in town a motive.
He is threatened throughout, him and the beautiful Laura that lives next door to Mandy's house that claims they were very close.
I could not put the book down.. I was literally standing outside my bedroom door not wanting to go in for the night and reading instead. Another home run from Stacy Claflin!
